I want to sell a product to the customer:

How do I then identify my audience?

The first point before starting any sales process is to know that no one sells to
everyone. Not even a big company or salesperson.

But we can increase the chance of closing a sale when we know the person
we sell to.

Defining exactly who your audience is, will help you sell a product to the customer.
And I'm not saying that is whether it is male or female, how old there are, where
they live.

No. Defining your audience is much more than that.

It is knowing who he is,
  • his habits
  • preferences,
  • his pains,
  • worries,
  • dreams
  • desires.
This saves you time by directing energy to the product that is more likely to sell and
for people more likely to buy.

And how do we define who to sell our product to?

Which audience is most likely to buy, what I sell?

From now on, I will give you several tips for defining your target audience.

Very important tips that will help you sell products and services.

Start by creating an avatar, a fictional character, as if this were your target audience.

Define your age range, whether male or female, education, industry/profession,
and salary range.

Once you have done this, put yourself in the place of your avatar and respond
according to his view:
  • What are your values?
  • What are your goals?
  • What do you do on a daily basis?
  • What brands do you consume?
  • What places do you go to?
  • What do you usually enjoy or share on social networks?

This already has an audience profile defined. But that alone is not enough.

To define how the customer thinks and understand how he buys, why he buys, and
why he doesn't buy, you must answer these two more questions, from your customer's
point of view.
  • what are your pains and worries?
  • what are your wishes and dreams?
Let me explain exactly how to find out each one. Selling a product to the customer:
discovering their fears and concerns It is the customer's emotion that defines the purchase.
And among all emotions, fear is the main one, which generates the biggest decisions.

Do you know why? Because people are so much more afraid of losing something
then they are willing to win.

A valuable tip for discovering these fears and concerns is to call or talk personally
with customers who have already purchased from you and ask the following
questions:
  • What could not happen that if it did, you would not buy?
  • What would make you sleepy about the product or service I sell?
  • What is the biggest problem that could happen to you?
  • Write down exactly the words the customer used.
Asking these questions to 5 to 10 customers is enough for you to gauge the fears
that appear most often. And so you can adjust your approach and communication to
show that your product or service can eliminate these fears and concerns.

How to sell a product to the customer
: discovering their
dreams and desires

A customer doesn't buy a product or service: he buys a transformation, an
achievement, a solution. And you have to present your product or service as the solution
your customer needs to achieve a certain goal, achieve their dreams or fulfil their wishes.

To discover your client's dreams and wishes, I suggest the following:

Call or talk to 5-10 potential customers who have not yet purchased in person and ask these questions, noting exactly the words that were used :

  • What is the best result you are looking for with my product or service?
  • In 6 months, 1 year, what do you expect to tell me about my product or service?
  • What impact do you expect?
  • What should happen after purchasing my product or service to make it realize
  • that it was the best investment you ever made?
  • And even a sale that you haven't closed is not lost from now on.

Because you can ask questions to customers who haven't bought from you either :

  • What was missing for you to buy?
  • What should have happened for you to buy?
  • What was my competitor different from me?
  • What could I have offered you to buy?
By following all the steps above, from the beginning of building your avatar, you have
learned how to sell to a customer by defining who your target audience is. Because that's
how you get the customer view.

And from now on, when you take an approach and present your product or service to
a customer, you will speak exactly what he wants to hear to make the buying
decision.

Buying Signals for Salespersons.

Recognizing Buying Signals is crucial to closing a sale for all the salespersons like me and you.  At times there are opportunities we can get a commitment to a sale from the customer. we should be sensitive to the clues.  When we recognize the buying signals, that's the time we may want to cut down your presentation and go for the close.  Make the transition carefully and don't be abrupt. A good way of transitioning is to summarize the benefits (not more than three benefits at a time). Then start the paperwork to close the sales. Positive buying signals are like green lights for you to go ahead, and the opposite is just as true. Negative buying signals are your stop signs, which mean the prospect is telling you, ' I am not Convinced yet'. It does not mean that you leave the prospect and move on this is the time to show more benefits and use The Impulse Factors for closing the sale. The Prospect gives positive buying signals in the fo
